SELECTBOARD MEETING HELD ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2022

• Last night the SB met in an emergency meeting to go into executive session to discuss the town manager's contract. We believe, though we were not informed, that this was to approve the town manager's bonus. A few folks spoke during public comment, expressing our dismay that this is being done in secret, without any transparency as to the town manager's goals or whether they were met, even though this is in his contract and should be a matter of public record.

• After a few minutes of public comment, the board went into executive session for an hour. When they returned they ended the meeting with no updates to the public or acknowledgement of those who participated and waited for any information.

• The select board is meeting tomorrow, Wednesday September 28th, at 6:30pm. The dial in information is below and I've attached the agenda. The public agenda includes discussion of tax payments and refunds, an issue from earlier this month that has affected people's monthly budgets, the town manager's report, and spending for equipment and sanding for the winter. There is no agenda item regarding the staffing of DPW to provide the plowing and sanding services.

• The board has scheduled yet another executive session to discuss an unnamed public employee. We have received no update regarding the police staffing challenges or the offering that was extended to a police chief candidate.
